Material from the Harvard Theatre Collection is accessible through the Houghton Library Reading Room. You do not need to make an appointment or provide letters of reference to read here. Most Theatre Collection material is kept on site and it takes about twenty minutes to call it up from the stacks. However, if a collection is listed in the catalogue with the location "Harvard Theatre Collection: Harvard Depository" it will require one working-day's notice to recall it from the Depository. We page on demand throughout the day until half-an-hour before closing.
Information on registration and placing requests for material can be found on our website.
See The Harvard Theatre Collection: A Guide for Researchers for more detailed information about conducting research in the Theatre Collection.
