Faculty, students and staff at the following institutions may apply for borrowing privileges at the Library Privileges office, Room 130 in Widener Library:

  • Brown
  • University of Chicago
  • Columbia
  • Cornell
  • Dartmouth
  • Duke
  • Johns Hopkins
  • MIT
  • U Penn
  • Princeton
  • Yale

You'll need to bring your valid University ID and proof of an active Borrow Direct/University login to the Library Privileges office just inside Widener Library.

To obtain proof of an active Borrow Direct/University login, please log into Borrow Direct from your home institution's page- links available here: http://www.borrowdirect.org/on-site-borrowing/

Once logged in, click on the My Account link in BorrowDirect.  A staff member will verify that you are able to access My Account as authorization for borrowing privileges. (Duke affiliates may authenticate using their library My Account page.)
