This is a common question at the end of the semester, when many books are returned at once and as a result Access Services sometimes experiences a slight backlog with checking in returned items. During this time, any fines that may show up on your account owing to a difference between time the item was dropped off and time it was checked in will be cleared.

At any time, if it has been more than 4 business days since you returned the item and it shows up on your account or you still have uncleared fines, please contact the Widener Privileges Office at widpriv@fas.harvard.edu. (http://hcl.harvard.edu/info/admittance/#privileges)
