XID, or eXtended ID, is a type of user ID that can be used to access selected online applications at Harvard. Since a user doesn’t need a Harvard affiliation in order to get an XID, it will not grant you access to as many applications and services as other Harvard login types. You can use an XID for guest login for wireless Internet in Widener and Lamont Libraries.

If you have more questions about XID, you can ask the specialists directly at xid_help@harvard.edu, or learn more about XID at https://xid.harvard.edu/faq.shtml.
