The idea that human emotion or consciousness can affect the physical world, including the earth's magnetic field, is promoted by a number of people. Research in this area is not, as far as I know, connected directly with Harvard, but it is certainly true that some Harvard affiliates have been engaged in it. Some of the associated ideas were popularized as a result of their inclusion in the Dan Brown novel, The Lost Symbol, and since the fictional protagonist of the book, Robert Langdon, is a "Harvard Symbologist" the ideas may be attached to the University in that way. There are several web sites which promote different theories and address the evidence of 9/11. A couple of the more well known ones are The Institute of Noetic Sciences and the Global Consciousness Project.
