The next time you are at the library, and a book that should be available is not on the shelf, please take the call number to the staff member at the entrance to the stacks. He/she will send one of their staff to look at the shelves, the overflow areas, etc. If they can't locate the book, they will initiate a tracing process which can take up to a week, and they will notify you of the results. The process must be initiated in-person, not online, by phone or email.
